Willmore Lodge was built by Union Electric in 1930 before work on Bagnell dam had even been completed. The building was designed by the St. Louis architect Louis La Beaume. The property changed hands repeatedly over the years before being repurchased by Union Electric and reimagined as the Lake of the Ozarks Chamber of Commerce Visitor's Center in the late 1990s. When you are visiting you will be graced with beautiful views of Lake of the Ozarks, including a walking path that leads to peaceful lakeside gardens and a restful shaded gazebo.
Be sure to plan on spending a bit of time here. There is a lot of information to take in. If you fall in love with the elegant building and breathtaking views, the building is also available to rent for weddings and other special events.
