The owner of the Blue Heron, Joseph Boer, has has quite the journey leading to his opening of the restaurant. From his childhood in Holland, time in the Dutch Army, experience as a chef all over Europe, to his restaurant history in the US, it has all been leading up to the opening of the Blue Heron. A tradition of excellence and batter fried lobster tail seems to follow him everywhere.
The menu features specialties like Champagne poached lobster tail, veal, Osso Buco, lamb, and steaks. The wine menu has been given the Wine Spectator Award, so you know you'll be able to find a special bottle that suits your taste. Mr. Boer blends his own Cognac in barrels, and it's highly recommended you try it.
