Stark Caverns


An hour-long guided walking tour through Stark Caverns is an adventuresome way to explore the geographic wonder of Lake of the Ozarks. The tour is perfect for families with kids or big groups looking for a fun and engaging tour, even on a rainy day. The cave was a site of Native American burials, and the cave tour includes a look at collections of arrowheads and other artifacts found in the cave. As you are walking through the cave, you will also be able to see the ancient bear beds for which the cave is known. There is also a mining sluice on site, allowing families to pan for fossils or gemstones.

Stark Caverns goes beyond geological tours with many ways to enjoy and explore the cave. You can enjoy blacklight tours of the caverns that are designed to allow you to see details and geological formations visitors cannot see under standard lighting. You can also indulge in an evening lantern-lit tour of the cave that is structured to dive into the history of the cave and the region. They also offer Stark Caverns has also partnered with Lake Escape to create "The Grimm Tale" inside Stark Caverns, the only escape room experience set in an actual cave in the entire world. These special events will let you interact with the caverns in new ways.

The tour at Stark Cavern is sure to please everyone in the family. Most of the walk is easily stroller accessible, and the paths are well lit.
