Here are our favorite restaurants with sweet treats to enjoy for breakfast:
The Lakeside Cafe
On the water and close to the Strip, the LakeSide Cafe is a breakfast experience you don't want to miss. They have a full brunch menu of savory items, but you're here for the sweets, right? Bourbon French Toast features the traditional dish with a twist- a hearty serving of bourbon brown sugar syrup! Go with a nautical theme and order the Swabbie Stack, a generous serving of pancakes with a chocolate chip or blueberry topper. Of course, a mimosa will go perfectly with either, and provides a tipsy sugar rush that'll last you till lunch.
Did you get up early to go fishing? Now you don't have to worry about taking precious fishing time to get the sweet morning treats you want. Call ahead to order your breakfast, pull in to the dock, and have your meal delivered straight to your boat. Life at the lake couldn't get much better than this.
Drop in to H. Toad's for a delicious breakfast at one of the hottest Lake spots. Sure, the party may have been last night, but they're up and ready to help you get your day started right. With some light fare options like yogurt or oatmeal, along with hearty plates like breakfast sandwiches and scrambles, there's something for everyone. But the sweet treats? That's where they really shine. Choose a buttermilk pancake stack with Applewood smoked bacon for a more traditional breakfast. The Cinnamon French Toast is where it's at though, with candied pecans and generous amounts of powdered sugar.
If you want access to breakfast, lunch, dinner, and a party along with your accommodations, you'll want to book a room at Camden on the Lake, right next door. Make the complex your party headquarters. You won't have to drive anywhere!
On the Rise Bakery and Bistro
For chef-made pastries and breakfast fare, you'll want to get out of bed early for On the Rise Bakery and Bistro. The luxurious menu offers amazing brunch food of every type, but we're talking about the sweets today. Pancakes, waffles, and vanilla french toast are all winners here. The kitchen keeps the bakery display stocked with muffins, cookies, scones, cinnamon rolls, and coffee cake too. Yes, you can even order Bananas Foster first thing in the morning. We'd actually highly recommend it. Kids (and adults!) will love topping off their breakfast with a Ghirardelli Hot Chocolate or Caramel Apple Cider. You're on vacation, after all.
We'll be blunt. This place can get pretty crazy on weekends and holidays. There's so much to love, and everybody knows it! Don't give up though...just show up early to beat the normal breakfast rush, or hold off and enjoy a late lunch. You won't be sorry!
Stewart's Restaurant has been serving up diner-style breakfast and lunch for generations now. It's a local favorite where you or your group can find something to please everyone, even on a budget. Add friendly waitstaff, and you'll make it your regular vacation spot! There is one sweet treat at Stewart's that really takes the cake- it's their giant cinnamon rolls! Grab one to-go in the morning to feed your whole family on one glorious, icing-topped roll. They make a limited number each day, so call ahead or show up early for a guaranteed breakfast delight. Don't forget the milk!
Another great little diner on our list is Pancake House. Of course, they offer your normal breakfast fare like biscuits and gravy, eggs, and sausage, but there are a few breakfast treats you'll love! The Monte Cristo Sandwich has a little sweet and a little savory, which is perfect if you can't decide on either. For a full-on blast of sugar, the Bananas Foster Pancakes will fit the bill perfectly. Bring your group and enjoy the fast-paced friendly atmosphere, or take your treats back to the condo to enjoy in bed. No one complains about a delivered breakfast!
Maybe you want a perfect pastry to nibble on while you read your book on your balcony. Or maybe you need a huge plate of pancakes to soak up last night's great choices. Restaurants at the Lake have been providing phenomenal fare to visitors since the dam was built. Whatever your breakfast or brunch craving, you're sure to find a local place to eat that hits the spot!
